I bought this yarn to try it and it works up very nice. Just feels so different from working with yarn, I made a couple of wash cloths and they are great to use in the shower. I recommend this cotton

Lion Brand 24/7 used to be a nice yarn but lately it has not been the same. I even asked Lion Brand and sent them pictures. They refunded me some money. The yarn strands come apart and there were little pieces sticking out of the yarn I had to continuously cut off. The white yarn is not the same pretty white it used to be. The quality has gone down.
This has nothing to do with Love Craft. Whoever makes the yarn doesn’t make it well any more. I have been making doilies since December 2024 and buying a lot of the 24/7 yarn. But as I said above each time I order it the quality is not the same. I loved it in the beginning and wish they would do something about it. Maybe it will get better. The yarn says made in India.

Good quality mercerised cotton. A little hard in the hands to crochet with but the end result is worth it. I’m making a bag and hoping this yarn will wear well over the summer.

However, some colors of the 24/7 brand which I recently received were produced at a new production site (no longer in Mexico). I have the impression that this new yarn is more shiny (which is a plus), but much thinner (which is not good) and it also seems to have a lower weight. I have to try if it fits to colors manufactured at the former production site.

However – there is a new production site for the 24/7 and the skeins I recently received (from this new site) are more shiny (which is a plus), but on the other hand the yarn seems to be thinner and of lower weight, compared to previous batches from the former production site in Mexico. One should to consider that for larger projects – the structure of the newly produced yarn may not exactly fit to older batches.
